Crushed Hemp 170 · Hill Tribe Embroidery
This collarless kurta shirt is made from a natural textured hemp and features tribal-style chest and sleeve embroidered patterns. The traditional Asian silhouette is inspired by the garments worn by Vietnamese hilltribes and as worn by the photojournalist in the cult classic, Apocalypse Now.
Hemp is a maharishi perennial – a strong natural fibre that is naturally resistant to pests, therefore reducing its dependence on masses of harmful pesticides. Once harvested, its decomposed roots also enrich and strengthen the soil in which it grew.
